Mechanism of Action
High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid forms a hydration barrier at the skin surface, helping to minimise moisture loss and improve superficial fine lines and dry lines.
Low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid penetrates tissue more readily, helping to boost the skin's hydration level.
Acting from different depths, the two combine surface moisture retention with deep-layer hydration — helping to keep the skin hydrated, smooth and plump.
Technical Advantage
High-MW HA forms a moisture barrier at the injection layer (superficial dermis), reducing moisture loss and improving superficial fine lines. Low-MW HA penetrates deeper into the skin to support the hydration process. Working in synergy, the two deliver immediate hydration and long-lasting moisturisation.
Most conventional single low-MW HA skin boosters rely primarily on low-MW HA to replenish deep-skin moisture, but lack the surface moisture-locking effect of high-MW HA. The replenished moisture is therefore more easily lost, and the hydrating effect remains relatively short-lived.
